Sara Marie Brenner is earning a post-masters Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a secondary education concentration, licensure and music endorsement. She has been tutoring since 1999 and has experience with common core curriculum as well as most K-12 subjects. Mrs. Brenner's BA is in Political Science, so she tutors history, government, civics and social sciences for all grades. She has extensive academic, journalism and creative writing experience, so she works with writing, reading, English and language arts for all grades. For math and science, she tutors students through the 8th grade.
Also, ESL students should be confident working with Mrs. Brenner. She is able to help with subject-matter vocabulary, grammar, idioms, sayings, writing and reading, as well as tutoring the subject itself.
In addition, Mrs. Brenner has a certificate in teaching students with reading difficulties from The University of London (England) in conjunction with Dyslexia International. As a result, she is comfortable and competent to work with dyslexic students and others with reading challenges. Autistic, homeschooled and gifted children are also welcome for tutoring and enrichment.
If your child is not being challenged in school, Mrs. Brenner also offers enrichment activities in a variety of subjects.
